What is Linklock?

Linklock.live is a minimalist, intentionally constrained web hosting platform inspired by the early internet (circa 1995-2002). It allows you to create handcrafted websites using only old-school web technology: HTML, CSS, and simple JavaScript.

No builders. No enforced design aesthetics. No frameworks. Just you, your code, and creative freedom within technical constraints.

Upload a .zip file, get a website. It's that simple.

Hey, I'm Michael Baker — a self-taught developer, artist, and game designer. I built Linklock because I remember when the internet felt more personal — a place full of quirky homepages, creative experiments, and genuine self-expression.

Linklock is my attempt to bring back that spirit: a fun community for people who want to embrace the weirdness and creativity of the old web.
